WIA is an incorporated association governed by its Constitution. The Constitution sets out membership eligibility, member rights, meetings, voting and the responsibilities of the association’s office bearers and committee.

Eligible organisations hold a current NSW specialised-insurer licence or are a government agency. Insurer members can nominate a representative to WIA’s Executive Committee and attend and vote at member meetings, subject to the Constitution.
Licensed employers managing their own claims.
Eligible organisations hold a current NSW workers’ compensation self-insurance licence. Self-insurer members share the governance, meeting and voting rights set out for insurer members in WIA’s Constitution.
Service partners connected to the conversation.
Affiliate membership is available, subject to Executive Committee approval, to people and organisations providing or intending to provide services to specialised insurers or self-insurers. Affiliates receive member communications and attend meetings by invitation, without voting rights.
